Adopting a pet into your home should be considered a lifetime commitment.
Raising a kitten is like raising a child as they will be with you for at least 18 years.
Adopting a Friend
There are many breeds and colors of feline friends and each kitten has its own personality. Consider what you are looking for, and talk to our volunteers to make sure you are making the best choice. At Cats Are My Love, our goal is to make your adoption process enjoyable. Knowing each adoption will result in our cat or kitten finding a good home is all the reward we need.
The Adoption Process
- We only adopt our feline friends as INDOOR PETS.
- You must be at least 18-years-old to adopt. Please bring a picture ID with you, ideally a driver's license.
- If you lease a home or apartment we will need documented proof that pet requirements have been fulfilled and that you are allowed to have a pet at your home.
- A pet carrier is required to take the cat/kitten home.
- We accept cash only for adoption fees. Current fees are $95.00 for kittens (less than 1-year-old) and $50.00 for adult cats.
Our Adoption Fee
Prior to adoption each kitten or cat:
- is spayed or neutered
- received a distemper and rabies shots
- received a physical exam from our veterinary professional
- is tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids
- is checked and, if necessary, treated for ear mites
- received a flea treatment
- will get their nails trimmed
- has been dewormed
Based on the needs of the pet, Cats Are My Love, Inc. reserves the right to set specific criteria for the adoption, to refuse an adoption, or to require a house-check. Remember, our mutual goal is to place the right pet into the permanent home that is best for it AND the family.
